How can you improve your English or (other languages ??for that matter) when you read? Well, if you need more time reading to improve your language skills spending, decided I would suggest some tips on how to go there:

Selective reading:

Choose topics that will help you learn more about what you already know is. So you can be only need to refer to the dictionary for the meaning of words and not as a translation of your native language. If you understand the situation, the meaning of the word, without translation, your willingness to be entitled to read.

Fluent reading means reading to your level of language proficiency:

Choose books that are written on your skill level. If you are not in the literature or novels, it is perfectly fine. Many successful people in society today can not even recite a verse from Romeo and Juliet. If they did, they could have used the same verse over and over again, only to impress their audience they are read. If you are interested in astronomy or wildlife, choose books to feed and can not your knowledge of how the language is based emphatically, but the way they are simply written to help you build your vocabulary quickly and efficiently. Read or work on your reading level of experience.

Knowledge

If you want to build vocabulary, certainly the best way to share the word itself. For example, when I read “cook” the word, of course, I can understand what it means by referring to the dictionary. But if I do anything to have to start cooking, I’ll understand more of what is the word when it is put into practice. This would be cooking in an oven. You can also understand how to find all types of cakes and biscuits cook. Under a practical kitchen, so you understand what it means to “boil” is much more valuable than learning a sequence of words in a dictionary that explains the meaning of the word.

For the sake of argument or further details about how I see this trick really works, watch a 3-year-old. It can fully understand the difference between “sitting” and “works” without show how these words are written or written. When they start to happily run in a classroom, the teacher tells them to sit still. This one is perhaps the voice of the teacher or they would “sit” the word so often have to be home when their parents tell them to sit down to eat. The thing is, we do not read the whole vocabulary. These words are alive for us to work with them. Before we learned to read, we heard of them somewhere or somehow use it.

Read simple books in English

Why you should read of novels, if you can not go beyond the first sentence? Martial arts actor famous Chinese superstar Jackie Chan reads Hollywood certainly not improved his English novels Shakespeare or American history. But they are competent, that they can not stop reading about the subject they are already well and build on the skills to improve their language skills. The simplest of the books they read, books you read more.

Be careful

Notice how type words in sentences and words that make sense to use different phrases. In the sentence “The girl is interested in going to the movies with his parents.” Notice how certain words are together, as “his parents” used, “The Girl”, “interested”. Working with models and groups of words, and picking the context of how grammar is used. “The girl is” against “Girls’, singular over the plural. The set is simple, but knowledge is sufficient.

Give A Break-dictionary

Try not to use the dictionary, as it may interfere with the enjoyment of reading. If a book is well written, you will find information about the meaning of unknown words in the course of history. Once you finish a page and you’re still do not understand the situation, the first words in the first paragraph, then you have a book that is not suited to your skills in reading chosen. Select a different book. The reading will be less enjoyable if you understand challenged what every word means to be.

Continuous play

Keep track of the story without having to stop and look up words in the dictionary will help you also like to read. I’ve learned to ask myself this question when I come to a difficult word, “I need to know its meaning?” If I stop for a word, I would not end up reading the whole book or terminate this site. What is the meaning of that word in reference to help me to understand the rest of the story I’m reading?

“History” and “Word”, I want to finish the story, I can look up the word later, when I’m done with the story.

Now, to compare a movie called “Narnia”. If you have heard the story of Narnia, it is very difficult to understand in a way that the movie is all about or meaning Narnia. But for many of us do not understand what the word means not prevent us to the movie from start to finish. In the middle of the story, the mystical character come to life. They are brought into another dimension in time and place. The subtitle is certainly no sense of the word Narnia, but at the end of the movie, you finally understand Narnia a fantasy realm. Sometimes it helps not to stop at an unknown word to know what makes the story.
